NOTICE is hereby given that if the Flagler County Canvassing Board orders a machine recount in either the County Commission District 5 race and/or the Palm Coast City Council District 3 race following the submittal of the First Set of Unofficial Returns during the scheduled meeting commencing on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM, then the Flagler County Canvassing Board will conduct a machine recount at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024.
If the Flagler County Canvassing Board orders a manual recount in either the County Commission District 5 race and/or the Palm Coast City Council District 3 race following the submittal of the Second Set of Unofficial Returns during the scheduled meeting commencing on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM, the Flagler County Canvassing Board will conduct a manual recount immediately following the machine recount on Friday, August 23, 2024.
If ordered, the recounts will occur at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 1769 E. Moody Boulevard, Building 2, Suite 101, Bunnell, FL 32110. It will be open to the public, and candidates, representatives, and committees of the current election, as well as the public, are encouraged to attend and observe.
Persons are advised that if they decide to appeal decisions made at this recount, they will need a record of the proceedings. For this purpose, they need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
