WHEN: Thursday, October 24, at 10 a.m.
WHERE: 72 Airport Commerce Center Way
The brief ceremony, lasting approximately 30 minutes, will be held at the site. Parking will be available along Airport Commerce Center Way, and attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes due to the site’s terrain.
Since June 2023, Palm Coast Fire Department has been providing primary fire protection to the surrounding neighborhoods while operating temporarily out of Flagler County Fire Station 92 on Airport Road. The new Fire Station 26 will ensure enhanced service and quicker response times for these communities.
Wharton & Schultz has been selected as the lead construction firm for the project, which is expected to be completed within 12 months. Funding for Fire Station 26 comes from fire impact fees and a $5 million state appropriation, sponsored by State Representative Adam Bontana and Speaker Paul Renner.
