The Flagler Auditorium brings four high-energy musical acts to Palm Coast during the month of February. The City Repertory Theatre based in Palm Coast presents a culturally sensitive production for February, which is Black History Month. Thus, there is no reason to leave town to answer your quest for high quality musical entertainment and to participate in an opportunity to be immersed in the realities of being African-American. But if you do feel the need for a road trip, options north and south are also available.
Flagler Auditorium
If you are still mourning the Nov. 30, 2022, death of Christine McVie whose smoky vocals highlighted the romantic lyrics produced by the band Fleetwood Mac, the Aud’s first performance of February ought to provide some therapy.
Rumours
The Atlanta, Georgia, based Fleetwood Mac tribute band has a reputation for presenting an authentic show that sells out at most of its scheduled venues. Many reviewers have stated that Mekenzie Jackson, Rumours lead vocalist, is able to duplicate McVie with such accuracy in conjunction with the performances by other members of the band that audiences are transported to the height of Fleetwood Mac’s success. Expect to hear your favorite tunes: Don’t Stop, Go Your Own Way, Leather and Lace, Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around, You Make Loving Fun and many more from their parade of hit songs.

Ted Torris Martin
Ted Torris Martin as Elvis won the 2016 “Images of the King” worldwide competition and is officially recognized by the Elvis Presley Enterprises. Now he brings a hunk of burning love to Palm Coast for audiences to hear his remarkably “close to Elvis” vocals perform for Valentine’s Day.
Performance is Tues., Feb. 14.
The Modern Gentlemen
This quartet recently featured on the PBS documentary, “Doo Woop Generations,” honed their group musical abilities as members of The Four Seasons under the leadership of Frankie Valli finally tuning their signature sound to be that in the style of Frank Sinatra. Now as a foursome touring the world, their four-part harmony supports their own unique take on hits from a variety of musical genres.

The Hit Men
The members of this group share a common distinction: Each was in backup mode either as an instrumentalist or a singer or both for major 1980s rock stars/bands including Billy Joel, Cheap Trick, Cream, Elton John, Foreigner, Journey, and Wings. Their performance at the Aud features the songs on which they were backups either in studio or on the road. Except now, they are the front men of the headliner – also telling many fascinating, never before shared, backstage stories. The performance is Sun., Feb. 26.

City Repertory Theatre
Presentation of “The Colored Museum” takes the stage Thurs., Feb. 16 through Sun., Feb. 19. Written by George C. Wolfe, an American playwright having won two Tony Awards, “The Colored Museum,” is a series of 11 theatrical sketches based on 11 exhibits representing aspects of African-American culture and life in the United States. The various exhibits feature dance, drama, poetry, and song as the cast takes on the journey of exploring the colored experience in America.
Presentations are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 PM. Sunday matinee is at 3 PM at the CRT’s playhouse at 160 Cypress Point Pkwy, Suite B207, in Palm Coast. Road Trip North
The St. Augustine Amphitheatre located at 1340C A1A South in St. Augustine on Amelia Island has two American icon performers slated for the end of February.
Country legend Willie Nelson is scheduled for Fri., Feb. 24 at 8 PM and Sun., Feb. 26 at 7:30 PM.
The Beach Boys are scheduled for Sat., Feb. 25 at 7:30 PM.

Road Trip South
The Daytona Beach Symphony Society presents Puccini’s Madam Butterfly at the Peabody Auditorium located at 600 Auditorium Way in Daytona Beach on Fri., Feb. 17 at 7 PM.
Madam Butterfly is one of the opera world’s most cherished love stories. A young Japanese girl falls in love with an American naval officer. but their love is doomed. The Daytona Beach presentation is scheduled to be sung in the original Italian with English subtitles.
