The Garden Club of Palm Coast will be holding their Annual Spring Festival & Plant Sale Saturday April 8, 2023 at the Flagler Palm Coast High School from 9 AM to 4 PM. Spring is coming and this will be the Garden Club of Palm Coast’s 10 Annual festival. Mark your calendars and be sure to come because there is fun for the entire community. Rain or shine, booths are set up in the gym and outside in surrounding areas of the high school grounds. The Garden Club of Palm Coast starts propagating plants for this sale in February.
This year the Propagation Guild will sell creative items for your gardens so come and check us out. The Garden Club’s Selection of the Month and the Arrangers’ Guild will each have booths highlighting their creative goals. There will be lots of arts and craft vendors as well as specialty plant growers. The event will have educational exhibits throughout the day along with fun activities for children. Also, several food trucks, live music and raffles complete the venue.
Denise Garcia, the Club’s president and the Festival committee chair, has worked hard and endlessly along with other members of the Garden Club to make this a great fund raiser every year for the Club’s Scholarship Program. Over $47,000 has been awarded to community recipients through the years. This event is the Garden Club’s major fundraising event for the students of Flagler County. The scholarship program benefits students at both high schools and continuing college students who pursue a career in agriculture, horticulture or environmental sciences.
For the younger children in Flagler County the Club offers scholarships to Wekiva Youth camp, an Art and Plant camp held at Hammock Gardens Nursery, the Junior Garden Club at several of the local elementary schools and special projects in the community creating gardens. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to the scholarship program.
