University Women Of Flagler Donate To Flagler County Education Foundation

On Friday, October 25, three members of the  Board of Directors for University Women of Flagler gave a $2000 check to Teresa Rizzo, Executive Director and Selina Hernandez, Assistant Director of Student Services of the Flagler County Education Foundation. The money will to go to the Peter & Sue Freytag Take Stock in Children Program, run by the foundation.  The Take Stock in Children Program is “a statewide initiative  empowering low-income students since 1995,” funded through grants, scholarships and matching funds.   Students in the program must maintain a 2.5 grade point average, have regular mentoring sessions, and show exemplary behavior to become “architects of their own success.” 

University Women of Flagler, 501(c)3 an organization of over 70 women, supports education in Flagler County, especially for young women.
